About us:

Neubrandenburg University of Applied Sciences

Our University is located in the North-East of Germany.

Around 2100 students are enrolled in 4 departments.

The Department of Geodesy and Landscape Sciences has around 400 students in the field of Geodesy, Geoinformatics, Landscape Architecture and Nature- and Environmental Protection.

Department of Geodesy and Geoinformatics

We teach and practically train future engineers for real estate surveying, engineering surveying, geodetic measurement technology, Geo-Information Systems, remote sensing and applied computer science. The studies are offered at Bachelor and at Master Level. The faculty staff comprises of experienced professors and lecturers, who have lived what the teach in years of field service.

Documentation of objects of National Heritage

One field of research and study is the application of modern measurement technologies to document historic landscapes, buildings and objects of cultural relevance.

We use state of the art satellite georeferencing, laser scanning, photogrammtry, drones and a lot of modern sensor systems to obtain precise 3D-models with exact location in any required coordinate reference system. We apply powerful mathematical algorithms to create high resolution meshes and textures for the objects. The collected information is made accessible to the public in databases and Web-applications.

Geographical areas of activity:

Main areas of research and study projects are Germany, Morocco, Tunisia, Nepal, India.
